L’Aston Martin del team Comtoyou conquista la pole position della 3 Ore del Nurburgring, appuntamento dell’Endurance Cup del GTWC Europe. La prima Ferrari è la #51, nona. Valentino Rossi partirà 12°. Male le due Lamborghini.
Nelle qualifiche della 3 Ore del Nurburgring, penultimo appuntamento dell’Endurance Cup del GT World Challenge Europe 2026, a imporsi è stata l’Aston Martin #007 del team Comtoyou Racing.
L’equipaggio formato da Mattia Drudi, Marco Sorensen e Nicki Thiim ha conquistato la pole position grazie alla miglior media dei tempi (1:53.591) ottenuti nelle tre sessioni di qualifica, una per ciascun pilota. Si tratta di un risultato storico: è la prima pole per Aston Martin nell’Endurance Cup dal lontano 2018.
A completare la prima fila assoluta, distanziata di oltre un decimo nel tempo medio, c’è la Mercedes-AMG #17 del team GetSpeed (Martin/Götz/Schiller). Terza posizione per la Porsche #80 Lionspeed affidata al tridente Feller/Preining/Buus, che ha preceduto la sorprendente McLaren #59 Garage59 (Loake/Macdonald/Kirchhöfer).
Rossi a ridosso della top 10, in difficoltà Lambo
Qualifica complessa per le vetture italiane in classe Pro. La Ferrari 296 #51 di AF Corse (Mosca/Rovera/Nielsen) non è andata oltre la nona posizione assoluta, preceduta dalla Mercedes-AMG #48 Winward Racing (Auer/Stolz/Engel). Ancora più indietro, dodicesima, la BMW M4 #46 del Team WRT pilotata da Valentino Rossi, Max Hesse e Daniel Harper, che punteranno su una gara di rimonta.

Disastrose, invece, le qualifiche per le due Lamborghini Temerario GT3 iscritte in classe Pro. La #96 del team Rutronik Racing (Engstler/Niederhauser/Mapelli) scatterà solo trentaquattresima, appena davanti alla gemella #63 griffata GRT (Perera/Mitchell/Bortolotti), trentacinquesima.
Le altre classi
In Gold Cup, i migliori sono stati Fleming/Prette/Goethe sulla McLaren #58 del Garage59, che partiranno da un’ottima settima casella assoluta. Decima e undicesima posizione (seconda e terza di classe) per l’Audi #99 Tresor Attempto, con il nostro Andrea Frassineti e la McLaren #111 CSA Racing.
Per la Silver Cup, miglior tempo di classe per la BMW #30 Team WRT di Lismont/Cordeel/Montenegro (diciassettesimi assoluti). Diciannovesimo posto per la McLaren #23 Team RJN, davanti alla McLaren #5 Optimum Motorsport (ventunesima).
In Bronze Cup, pole di classe per la Mercedes #222 2Seas Motorsport (Jewiss/Dawson/Barr), diciottesimi assoluti. Alle loro spalle la BMW #991 Paradine Competition (ventesimi) e la Mercedes #87 Winward Racing dell’italiano Gabriele Piana (ventiseiesimi).
La 3 Ore del Nurburgring prenderà il via ufficiale alle ore 15:00. La gara sarà trasmessa in diretta televisiva su Sky Sport F1 e in streaming gratuito sul canale YouTube GTWorld.
